Comeback of My Generation
They are "Simply the Best" – as Tina Turner, the grandmother of Rock once declared, the "best agers".
And Cher wants it even more: "If I could turn back time".
Britney Spears made it, Michael Jackson is about to make it and Rod Steward would have tried it if he was not still active: a Comeback.
Seniors today are neither discarded nor disoriented or dismissed.
The Beatles are over sixty-four now and even the sophisticated Mr. Jaegger in his age needs to be understood when declaring: "I can get no satisfaction".
Most of Generation 68 neither went to Poonah nor to San Francisco.
They went into retirement, these days.
Until 2030 Central Europe‘s population over 65 is expected to increase to almost 30%. About time to think of technical little helpers to achieve an Ambient Assisted Living (AAL).This is the key term for a technology supported by electronic assistants for the everyday life. A Best Boy to preserve a certain mobility, fitness and health from the age of 60 on. AAL describes concepts, products and services which combine new technologies and social periphery to increase the quality in the equivalent phase of life.
KNX is the perfect backbone for this kind of applications.
It is easy to combine smart house technology, security, entertainment and parts of housekeeping with the technology of intelligent buildings. Smart technologies show a great potential and Europe is one of the market leaders.
As my generation disposes of a sufficient part of the GNP it might be ideal to develop technical solutions which react to altered situations to conduct habits in live, work and hobby. The right time to aquire seniors as sponsors for sensors.
Let us assume that we grow older being fit in body, spirit and soul and that we pass away under socially consistent, economic and ecologic circumsatances.
Someone who lives healthy can die healthy.
Choosing the "Highway to hell or "Knocking on heavens Door"? It is up to everyone‘s choice to take a seat in paradise. If so, how would we live in paradise?
Either in "Furniture-store-paradise" where heavy chairs border the aisle?Or in a "Price Paradise"? The cheaper the better?
Untill now I was convinced that there is an "all-inclusive" paradise. "But well never know untill it‘s over. And it‘s not over untill it‘s over" - or the scrapping incentive is payed.
